Appointment will play a critical role in supporting AE Gibson’s growth strategy
AE Gibson & Sons Pty Ltd today announced the appointment of Curtis Gibson as the company’s new General Manager. Curtis’s appointment will play a critical role in supporting AE Gibson’s growth strategy and driving its leading position in the Design and Engineering of innovative sawmill machinery and solutions for industries including Timber, Renewables, Biomass, Waste processing, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and other heavy industrial applications throughout Australia, New Zealand, Oceania and South East Asia.
Prior to this appointment, Curtis established and managed the AE Gibson Service and Maintenance business division, and was the Lead Fleet Engineer – NSW Coal at Progress Rail, and Project Manager – QLD Coal at Downer Rail. Curtis brings a wealth of leadership experience, industry expertise, and energy to his new role as General Manager.
Curtis’s primary objective in this new role is to drive the company’s market expansion and deliver operational efficiencies through its two major manufacturing facilities, and offices in Kendall NSW, Sydney NSW and Melbourne VIC.
Additionally, Curtis will directly support the sales, service and business relationship team, developing strategies to support the uptake of the company’s award winning range of custom designed and engineered sawmilling machinery. He will also play an integral role in driving momentum for AE Gibson’s customer Support and Service business, and our innovative Engineering, Automation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics business units.
