We recently attended the Ligna 2023 Exhibition in Hannover Germany over 5 days, to see all the latest innovation and technology for the timber processing industry. This event is valuable to our team to provide an insight into the future of timber processing and to see how far technology has progressed from companies from all over the world. The expo not only displayed the latest timber machinery technology trends, it gave our team the opportunity to discuss future projects with our customers, along with networking opportunities with customers and supply partners such as Cardinal Sawquip, TS Manufacturing, Vecoplan, Kadant, as well as several other leading technology providers.
This year the Ligna event hosted 1,300 exhibitor companies from 50 different countries, along with 80,000 visitors from 160 different countries. The theme was smart technology and resource saving efficient production processes with a strong demand for automation and process optimising solutions. People are now understanding how important new technology is to their business to increase production and reduce risk to staff. It’s amazing how far the technology has come in the timber industry and how automation processes are becoming more common throughout the timber industry.
During the expo, our team hosted a Timber Industry Leaders social event for many of our customers and supply partners at a local German Brewhouse. It was great to come together with people from all over the world to discuss ideas and trends with “like minded” people, most of which have been in the timber industry for many years and just like us, were thrilled to see where the future is going in timber processing.
