The team at Gibsons recently visited EXPO Richmond, one of America’s leading trade show for the forest products industry, featuring 200+ indoor and outdoor exhibits, educational sessions, and equipment demonstrations. Located in Virginia USA the show attracts over 6,000 attendees from all over the world bringing people from the timber industry together looking for the latest solutions in forestry machinery and technology. The trip was valuable to the team for international networking and to research and see in person the latest innovative technology for Sawmilling, Firewood Processing and Biomass Handling Solutions.
The Expo was over two full days and displayed the largest collection of sawmilling, kiln drying, pallet manufacturing/recycling, harvesting, biomass, trucking, optimisation/scanning, material handling, firewood processing and related equipment, as well as supplies and services. It was a terrific ‘hands-on’ experience for our team to see how the latest machinery and systems actually work for a high-volume commercial environment.
